Qube and JEDCO have been working with the management teams of Edgen Murray in Europe and Asia since 2019, as we explored several operational, project and logistical synergies between the companies across Australasia. All three companies recently worked together on a contract for a client and project in Batam and Offshore Qatar, respectively. JEDCO provided Project Management Consultancy (PMC) services to contract holders Qube, with Edgen Murray providing all steel supply for a sizeable fabrication scope of work which we executed in Bintan. Not only were we able to provide value in terms of cost, but materials were sourced and expedited more efficiently, in spite of COVID-19 restrictions and lock-down challenges.  

We are now entering into the proposal phase on several project opportunities which Qube are looking to execute across several of their facilities, including BOMC in Indonesia where, as a collective, we are able to package up not only storage and just in time material supply solutions, but end to end project execution support through the provision of value-add fabrication services including Pre-Assembled Jacket and Topsides components, as well as additional transportation efficiencies through Qube’s Ports and Logistics business streams.

Near-term focus will be to work with our customer and Solution Partner stakeholders, to determine areas of synergy where collectively we can provide cost and schedule efficiencies on near-term scopes of work. In parallel, our teams are working hand in hand with collective customer stakeholders, to explore other value-add options to support future project execution philosophies in and out of Asia. Not only will these solutions add value to our customers but complement ongoing strategies to increase productivity and value-add offerings to projects over the coming years.
