JEDCO signs Collaboration Agreement as we kick start our West-Coast-FIRST-Initiative
The Directors of Joint Efficient Developments Consultancy (JEDCO) are pleased to confirm the signing of a strategic Collaboration Agreement with Meridian Marine Industries Inc. in British Columbia, coinciding with the roll out of JEDCO’s West-Coast-FIRST-Initiative.
These announcements mark the beginning of JEDCO’s long term commitment to align with and support the ‘Western Canada Growth Strategy’, a worthwhile initiative the Canadian Government is spearheading in their drive to sustainably grow the economy, attract investment, and create jobs for the local communities in West Coast Canada.
Our stakeholder teams have recently completed a 3 months feasibility study, mapping out key areas where JEDCO will add most value to this exciting campaign. Initial output to the study is a first phase Solution Partnering strategy with Meridian Marine, focused on an organic increase in their capacity and strength through jointly planned and executed project solutions in British Columbia. We are also exploring options with ‘value adding’ international businesses and investors across South East Asia and Europe, all of whom are keen to support our collaboration with Meridian Marine and JEDCO’s West-Coast-FIRST-Initiative
The first phase of our Meridian Marine collaboration is already under way. A joint proposal will be submitted in September for a multi-million-dollar infrastructure project in British Columbia. JEDCO is spearheading the Joint Steering Committee overseeing a cross border consortium, tasked with the Planning and Execution of a value-based solution to the end user customer in West Coast Canada.
JEDCO’s short-term strategy with Meridian Marine is to provide an execution model that adds value, and at the same time maximises local content in West Coast Canada. Our medium-term commitment, supported by our international investors and alliances, is future support and total knowledge transfer back to Meridian Marine, as we enhance their drive to increase local capacity in British Columbia. The longer-term strategy is to create an end to end business model in Vancouver and Vancouver Island, which other national project investments in Canada can access and benefit from in the future.
Darren McLean – Executive Director, Commercial (JEDCO)
“The West-Coast-FIRST-Initiative is testament to the Solution Partnering business model and our Core Values as a company.
JEDCO’s Directors are committed to this campaign as much as the alliances around the world who have signed up to be part of it. These trusted senior stakeholders not only understand the long-term benefits of our model, but they are dedicated to supporting the innovative and pragmatic solutions derived from it.
Working with the Meridian Marine management team these past months has been collaborative and seamless. Their leaders are passionate about growing their business in British Columbia and with supporting the companies and communities that they serve.
As we have said from day one, the JEDCO model complements existing infrastructures and strategies. Our promise to the Meridian Marine team and all their invested stakeholders in and out of Canada, is to sustainably enhance their business, at the same time support the Governments short and long-term growth strategies for West Coast Canada.”
Craig Bennett – Executive Director, Technical (JEDCO)
“Our commitment to this valuable initiative, enables JEDCO to diversify and grow industry across continents into Western Canada, whilst maintaining our commitment to the Singapore Industry. With Western Canada and Singapore exhibiting many commonalities, including; sharing a similar cultural diversity, and a similar sustainable development strategy with balanced environmental, social and economic priorities, makes this collaboration a great match up.
JEDCO’s philosophy of transferring knowledge back to the customer, brings more opportunities to Singapore, whilst transferring expertise, technology and skills into Western Canada, as part of this long term initiative. These transferable skills will create sustainable growth through the increased training requirements and creation of additional jobs, allowing more work content to be executed locally in Canada.
Our transparent collaboration agreement with Meridian Marine, is confirmed through our mutual enthusiasm and alignment for the West-Coast-FIRST-Initiative, allowing the generation of this exciting harmonised enterprise of industrial growth in the region.”
James McFadden – President (Meridian Marine)
“We are very pleased to announce the signing of our collaboration with JEDCO. The past months engagement with their leadership stakeholders has been time well spent. Simply put, their business model is game changing, and the open and honest dialogue has been welcomed as we look to enhance the Meridian business model here in British Columbia.
As for their West-Coast-FIRST-Initiative, well that ticks so many boxes, not only for Meridian, but for our current and future customers and supply chains both in and out of West Coast Canada. In short, JEDCO’s West of Canada initiative makes the almost impossible become achievable.”
